Hi, people. It's hard to read actual messages here amongst the spam
clutter isn't it!
I'm just checking in. I'm afraid my diet has been going nowhere since
I last checked in. I can't seem to get back in the groove this time.
At least I haven't gained more weight since rebounding. I think my
body is at its limit at 125 kg and tends to not go above that.
Still, I really really want to lose weight again. Somehow...
I don't know if I mentioned it here, but I was in Boston for a couple
of months. My father was sick and I was planning to visit in the
middle of August anyway. Then his doctor called me in the middle of
the night to say I had better move up my reservations and my father
ended up passing away just after I got there. Then there was the
funeral, my mother moving, then my sister lost her apartment lease and
I had to help her find a new place and move. Finally I did come back
to Japan at the end of September. But haven't really been able to diet
yet.
I know my blood sugar is way up though and I need to start eating
healthily again. I've tried to at least cut out fried foods and sugary
stuff while figuring out how to wade back into the program.
I need to go back to Boston in late spring for the unveiling of my
father's grave marker. One incentive is being able to sit more
comfortably in an economy airline seat for a 13 hour flight.
I hope you are all doing well.

I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. Please accept my condolences.
I am suffering badly with the water retention, and MONTHS of sticking
closely to the program did nothing. I'm currently holding a placemarker
in the diet and hovvering about 20lbs above goal. I'm trying to eat
well, but there are things in the diet that really need to go, so once
the Christmas period is over, I shall be giving it a bit more thought
and planning.
Good luck, and keep checking in. I don't see much of the spam with my
newsreader. I only see it on Google groups. Have you tried something
like Eternal September? I hear good things about it for spam eliminating.

Hey Doug, nice to see you still here. You've done it before and you
can doi it again. Keep up the good work!
ps..you're right about the spam...I can't believe how it's changed here.
There was none when I first got into the group back in 2003. Now
it's everywhere!

Thanks for your replies people. If people want to ever talk in a non-
spam setting I can always set up a server with some forums on it for
us to use and weed out the spam.
Then we can post spam here directing people to our non-spam forums! :)
