KJ - 22 Jul 2010 19:01 GMT Hello All,
Hypnosis for Weight Loss: Does It Work?
Yes, research demonstrates a significant effect when using hypnosis for weight loss. In a 9-week study of two weight management groups (one using hypnosis and one not using hypnosis), the hypnosis group continued to get results in the two-year follow-up, while the non- hypnosis group showed no further results (Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1985).
In a study of 60 women separated into hypnosis versus non-hypnosis groups, the groups using hypnosis lost an average of 17 pounds, while the non-hypnosis group lost an average of only .5 pounds (Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1986). In a meta-analysis, comparing the results of adding hypnosis to weight loss treatment across multiple studies showed that adding hypnosis increased weight loss by an average of 97% during treatment, and even more importantly increased the effectiveness POST TREATMENT by over 146%. This shows that hypnosis works even better over time (Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1996).
Whatever weight loss program you are following, you have to make some changes to your eating habits and patterns, maybe even to exercise more. Making changes at your deeper levels of mind results in long lasting changes, minimal use of will power and ability to enjoy your new lifestyle. Losing weight is one thing, maintaining weight loss is a even bigger challenge.
Hypnotherapy is highly effective in helping us change our habits and behaviors.
The BE SLIM package includes:
- 5 hypnotherapy sessions. Each session lasts approximately an hour. - 4 recordings (yours to keep) - Email Support - 1 Free Hypnotherapy Session to use for any other changes you wish to make to improve your quality of life
The sessions will help you to change your eating habits, increase motivation to exercise and enjoy your new pantry with as much pleasure as your old pantry. You will remove any cravings and eating behaviors that are stopping you from reaching your weight loss goals.
The cost for the package is $375.00. You can pay in 2 installments. This is a saving of $265.00!!

Check out what you eat and how much that costs you not only in money but also in health issues. Do your maths. To change your lifestyle and enjoy better quality of life for only $375.00 is a BARGAIN!
Cost of 11 ounces of potato chips - $3.21 14.5 ounce cookie package - $2.75 16 oz. powdered sugar donuts - $2.19 12 oz. box cinnamon cereal - $3.39 48 oz Canola oil - $3.99 12 pack can Coke - $3.33 1 package chocolate chip cookie dough - $2.99 1 pound sirloin steak - $4.99 When you see that list I ask you - now what's expensive? Pre-packaged food that has very little nutritional value, or wholesome fruits and vegetables?

But I don't eat any of that stuff anyway. It's all fresh fruit, veg, meat (mostly chicken, but very ocasionally local lamb, beef, pork, or venison, all outdoor reared, usually organic, and no air miles) and fish in this house. I buy some fish and chicken frozen, but it's all raw ingredients. Home cooked low fat all the way here. I use very little oils, and what I do use is either cold pressed local rapeseed oil or cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. I never buy sweetened cereals, just things like Wheetabix, porridge oats, and no added sugar organic muesli.
If we have cake, I make it with rice four (I need to avoid wheat), eggs, butter, etc. No packets in this house! And cake is an occasional treat: less than once a month. I shop in local butchers shops and local markets and farm shops whenever I can, and use supermarkets for basics like bog roll, tinned tomatoes, and toothpaste.
I cook. And I'd be ashamed if I spent more than £80 a week on food for the three of us: me on low fat and wheat free, hubby insulin dependent diabetic, and a large and constantly hungry teenage boy (6'2" and 17" collar, 42" chest, 36" waist) and the two cats.
Tonight's dinner: Harissa rubbed chicken breasts baked along with garlic and herb baby roast new potatoes and a salad of tomatoes, cucumber, basil and a few olives. I followed that with a Skinny Cow triple chocolate stick for a bit of a treat. The whole meal was six Weight Watchers points. And three months WW On Line has cost me £43.
So yeah, that looks expensive to me.

Tonight's dinner was frozen chicken breasts, about £3, new potatoes (probably less than 50p!) and about a pound's worth of salad ingredients. Add in a quid for the Skinny Cow and 60p for two other lollies, another 50p for the cooking electrons, and dinner for three cost £7.20. That's an expensive meal, for mid week. I frequently put dinner on the table for less than a fiver. Sunday roasted chicken dinner may come out at about £10 (including the bottle of cheap Spanish wine or the bottle of local cider I cook the chicken with!), but that leaves us with another full chicken meal, a good pot of soup that does at least twice, and enough fruit salad to do twice (plus some for the GMNT to nom for breakfast!).
The joys of being a frugal cook!
