I thought banana had an alcalin effect. I took a banana a few minutes
ago, and I have pain in the throat and belly. I noticed the same
effect with celery? Can someone explain?

Banana is recommended on several Gastric Reflux sites, so it apparently
doesn't normally promote that sort of thing.  Has this happened before?

It has happened to me before. I had canned green beans three hours
ago, played a hockey game. I had some acidity in the belly already,
and after the banana, it felt even more acid. An hour later I had a
spoon of natural peanut butter and then it felt really bad when it was
going down.

A banana should cause that sort of thing, actually it should soothe it...

hmmmmm... what if you eat something else? maybe you're coming up with a
flu...

Dry Gin hot water and honey... works every time ;op
