I cannot open the link but must dsagree. I started trying to lose
weight around 1996 or '97 and joined this group. I finished losing 86
pounds around New Years 2000 and have kept the weight off since then
by using www.fitday.com and doing 20-30 minutes of light weight
lifting, walking, light floor exercises and stair climbing three times
a week. Seeing as I am now 76 years old, that is validation that it is
done by attention to diet.

Good for you. If you want to obsess about everything you put in your
mouth and spend your golden years doing that-that is your life. It
works for you-good. Don't say it works for everyone-it doesn't.

People lose weight when the pressure is lessened and they focus more
on exercise and common sense eating. In other words-moderation.

Some of the most vocal diet experts are obese and/or morbidly obese.
