That's true. If you are really, really fat, you need a different diet
from someone who is only a tiny bit fat. That must be what you mean.

Actually, what I see is the difference between long waisted (usually
pear shaped) people and short waisted (usually apple shaped people) in
terms of how they appear. I believe long-waisted people look the worst
if they are overweight at all. It all goes to their butt and thighs,
making it more visible. It really makes them look like two different
people...one from the waist down and another from the waist up. Short
waisted people can add a few extra pounds and it is not so noticeable.
That may just be an abstract way to look at it, though, since beauty
and presumably fatness is in the eye of the beholder. Moot point in a
way because both groups need to lose weight, even if it is for
different reasons. dkw
