You are replying to a spammer. In general avoid doing that but
if you decide to respond to a spammer always check the list
of newsgroups and do not quote the URL. You will notice that
I trimmed out your URL as well.

Fasting one day per week can help in the loss phase but it
will not help the maintenance phase. Maintenance requires
changing habits to keep the lose permanent.
That said, fasting once per week is probably good for
longevity. So it might be a good idea independent of loss.

There's been quite a bit of conversation re. his posts and the guy does
seems serious, (although I question whether he'll follow through). I'm
wondering what you see that pegs him as a spammer. I don't think a sig-line
pointer to a web page turns an otherwise valid post into spam.

I think it has to do with following the directions. For
nearly every diet based on a book it says to drink
water. If you follow that part of the directions there
is a chance you are following all or most of the
directions. Since decades or work go into any of
the popular diet books they all work if you follow the
directions. The problem is the books all contain
some parts that are not obvious or that go against
expectations so folks don't want to follow those parts
of the directions.

Spammers don't converse. That much is true. Maybe he's a
troll. Maybe he doesn't know to cut out URLs from other folks
because he supplies one himself. Probably user training
issue.

Thanks Doug, I will keep that in mind. I will remove the URL when
replying ..
