I often have to stay up late to study, and I just eat and eat and
eat.  Does anyone have any ideas on how I can cure this habit?  Other
things to do?  Mantras to repeat?

I used to be an evening eater.  Now I mostly just drink Diet Pepsi.  I
can't really recommend this to others, as many people are more
sensitive to caffeine than I am, and there's evidence that diet soda
isn't great for dieters (though I drank it throughout my weight
loss).  But perhaps there's something you'd enjoy sipping on as you
study, as an alternative to eating.  Or try to eat something healthy
like mini-carrots or grapes?

cut up half watermelon, eat the whole thing until you're stuffed. then
continue study

Well, this may not be helpful, but I never get hungry at night.  It is like
the system is switched off.

Back before 2003, when I was 320 pounds, any food within 3 hours of bedtime
could lead to regurgitation during sleep.  That experience may have
influenced my eating behavior.
