8:30 am  breakfast:  cereal, diced apple, pumpkin seeds, f/f soy milk.
1/4 honeydew melon
9:30- 10:15 am   walk
11 am:   better'n peanut butter, honey and banana sandwich, f/f
soy milk, coffee
2:15 to 3 PM  walk
3 PM large glass of red Australian Shiraz
4:30 PM melon balls w/ lemon juice
7 PM pizza w/broccoli, tomatoes, string cheese, oregano, olive oil and
tofu.

I stopped at the WaterWorks at the end of my walk today and had a Huge
Glass of Wine on the terrace overlooking the weir.  The kitchen was
closed.  It doesn't look like I lost any weight this week but the
scale was unbalanced again at the gym.   I am grateful  for the
reduction in blood pressure so I guess Ill try to keep it up for
another week.

I've been wondering, reading about your exercise:  Do you do any
strength training?  The walking and swimming are good, but you might
want to think about adding in some strength training.  It has a lot of
benefit for weight loss as well as other things -- bone strength,
general functional strength, overall appearance, etc.

Thanks for the thought.  I fully intend to do that as soon as I can
figure out a schedule.  I would like to continue to walk to work but
Im not sure it will be practical.  By the end of next week I should
know what Im doing.  A real surprise has been that over time swimming
has given me tiny muscles in the shoulders and chest and arms that I
never ever had before.     Thanks again.

WOW That's quite something.  Perhaps you might share how you motivate
yourself, turning your back on chocolate cake and doing tiring
exercises.  Its not at all easy and it has to become a life style or
it will all come back again.

800 calories is not sufficient for good health and optimum nutrition.  You
will cause more harm than good by losing muscle...
