When I tried low fat I was like that. Any time I cut the fat enough to
drop pounds hunger would wake me up multiple times each night.
> What do you do to reduce your appetite ?
I switched to low carb. Low fat works for some, low carb works for
others.

How about low calorie ? :-) Everything else is just guessing. I'm
losing hope I'll ever lose the weight. Will have to take pills that
reduce my appetite, go to gym daily, and/or find the money for
Weightwatchers. I have to stop taking a pill for anxiety disorder and
sleep that seems to cause much appetite increase, and is f.cking up my
blood sugar. Gonna get diabetes if this keeps up. There are no good
pills for anxiety. Well, my benzos, but every doctor is benzophobic,
and they are addictive. They supposedly cause brain damage long term,
like heavy drinking, but I find aging and life causes brain damage
period. We all end up in the nursing home crapping in our diapers,
watching Wheel of Fortune and forgetting our loved ones' names.
The pills that reduce appetite also kill sexual function and orgasm
Fantastic. Just shoot me.

There are all sorts of plans that work for some percentage of the
population. Try several different types sticking with each at least 3
months. When one of them triggers fat loss without hunger stick with
it until you decide to regain.

Ignorance is curable through education. The human body has evolved
through famines to hoard fat but the chemistry involved has loopholes.
Besides, the asserting that it's all about calories is false. What it's
all about is grams of fat into storage minus grams of fat out of
storage combined with how the body reacts to the food it is fed. A
focus on calories leads to ignoring how the body actually works and
therefore leads to ignoring data that contradicts asseertions about
calories. That's not ignorance that's stupidity.
Try some different plan types spending a minimum of 3 months on each.

Is that because everyone's metabolism is different ? There are only so
many ways to skin a cat no ?

That's correct. That's why there is no one best plan, and that's also
why every time society in general tries to impose a single type of plan
as the best the result is increased obesity.
For me low carbing works best. I've tried other plan types and the rest
made me hungry. It's not a good idea to wake up several times each
night because what you're eating triggers unending hunger.
> There are only so many ways to skin a cat no ?
There are a finite number of ways to try but there are plenty of
workable plan types. Low calorie, low fat, low carb, paleolithic, food
combination and so on. All have specific reasons they are supposed to
work, specific issues that have to be avoided.
In every case if what you do is read the words then try it figuring you
can do the rest yourself that's a recipe for failure. The authors of
the popular books about each type of plan spent a decade or more
optimizing their plans in some way that's not obvious. At one level
that's because a decade of work builds expertise and expertise gives
better results than trial and error. But on a deeper level it reflects
the fact that obvious does not equal true.

When I have appetite for something: I brush my teeth. The reason is
that appetite is happening in the mouth. I don't know the chemistry
behind that, but it's possible that the taste buds are flooded with
chemicals, in a way, are demanding for certain foods. The brushing of
the teeth may wash away those chemical, so the appetite is washed away
with the toothpaste. Does it make sense??? :)

I believe this is because of diabetes.. If your sugar level is high onl
you get more hungry.
