Abstinence from food  (12 July to 21 July)

It is suggested from eating because it be in season
the following food, (food classified by six periods and six groups):

THIRD GROUP (approximately 12 July to 21 July).
CEREALS (Carbohydrates): amaranth, buckwheat, sorghum, teff,
LEGUMES (Vegetable proteins): broad bean, carob, flaxseed, hazelnut,
peanut, soybean, sunflower seed,
MEAT (Red meat, poultry, eggs, dairy): chicken, eggs, sheep, cheese of
ewe (Manchego, Parmesan, Pecorino, ...),
OILS: peanut, soybean, sunflower,
VEGETABLES (Live foods): aloe vera, avocado, beets (beetroot, beet
greens, swiss chard), carrot, cucumber, escarole, leek, pumpkin,
rutabaga, squash, water chestnut,
FRUITS: date, kiwi, lemon, pineapple, quince,
DRINKS (beverages): beet juice, carrot juice, coffee, cucumber juice,
elderberry juice, lemon and water, pineapple juice, tea of roselle, milk
of soy,
SPICES: allspice, arrowroot, caper, cinnamon, cumin, dill, guarana,
marjoram, nutmeg,

The other two auxiliary groups.
FIRST GROUP:
Cereals (Carbohydrates):
Legumes (Vegetable proteins): cashew, chickpea, lentils, Lima bean,
genus Vigna (Adzuki bean, black-eyed pea, moth bean, mung bean,
yard-long bean, ...)
Meat (Red meat, poultry, eggs, dairy): beef, bison, caribou, milky
products of cow, duck, eggs, grouse,
Oils: coconut, chia seed, olive, perilla, sesame, shea nut,
Vegetables (Live foods): artichoke, cabbages (broccoli, broccoli
Chinese, Brussels sprout, cauliflower, collard greens), Chinese kale,
mustard greens, okra, olives, turnips (turnip greens, broccoli rabe),
watercress,
Fruits: coconut meat, fig, loquat, mango, melons, pear,
Drinks (beverages): blueberry juice, cabbage juice, milk of coconut, tea
of chamomile, tea of lemon balm, pear juice, tea of rooibos,
Spices: anise, clove, cornstarch, dulse, mustard, sage, tarragon,

FIFTH GROUP:
CEREALS (Carbohydrates): barley, rye, wheat,
LEGUMES (Vegetable proteins): lupin seeds, pea, pecan, Phaseolus (black
turtle bean, cannellini bean, Great Northern bean, kidney bean, navy
bean, white bean, ...), pine nut,
MEAT (Red meat, poultry, eggs, dairy): fishes with scales, mollusks,
OILS: almond, grape seed, safflower, wheat germ,
VEGETABLES (Live foods): borage, grape leaves, kanpyo (calabash), thistle,
FRUITS: apple, apricot, blackberry, grape, grapefruit, peach, plum,
DRINKS (beverages): almond, apple, blackberry, cranberry, grape,
grapefruit, prune juice, black tea, green tea, yerba mate, wine,
SPICES: bay leaf, mace, oregano, rosemary,

SECOND GROUP:

MEAT (Red meat, poultry, eggs, dairy): cottage cheese, farmer cheese,
goat, milky products of goat, horse, ostrich, turkey, fishes without
scales, crustaceans,
OILS: camelina, canola (rapeseed), quinoa,
VEGETABLES (Live foods): capsicum (bell pepper, chili pepper, cherry
pepper), cassava, fennel, fenugreek, commercial mushroom, zucchini,
FRUITS: papaw (papaya),
DRINKS (beverages): kombucha tea, noni juice, pummelo juice,
SPICES: chili powder (capsicum), paprika (capsicum), red flakes
(capsicum), cardamom, fennel, parsley, saffron, turmeric, vanilla,

FOURTH GROUP:
CEREALS (Carbohydrates): fonio, maize, millet, rice, tapioca,
LEGUMES (Vegetable proteins): macadamia,
MEAT (Red meat, poultry, eggs, dairy): goose, eggs, kangaroo, partridge,
pheasant, pork, quail, eggs, rabbit,
OILS: maize, rice bran,
VEGETABLES (Live foods): chicory, chicory root, dandelion, ginger,
Jerusalem artichoke, lettuce, onion, parsnip, purslane, radish, rhubarb,
tomato,
FRUITS: currents, cherimoya (custard apple), orange, persimmon,
pomegranate, prickly pear, raspberry, tangerine,
DRINKS (beverages): ginger root, goji berry, orange, peppermint,

SIXTH GROUP:

It is an attempt to collect and summarize every food prohibition
from every tradition that can be found.  In a sense I know why
it's being posted but I still don't get it.
