She made a good case on Larry King laast night. I liked the Atkins Food
Pyramid, but America's Agricultural Grain Lobby will not.

Veronica Atkins should be more worried about why her husband's rights to
privacy of medical records was maliciously violated than what the autopsy
says.  Someone belongs in HIPAA jail.

The fact that Dr. Atkins' autopsy report made it to the internet is nothing
short of criminal.

I totally agree.

Dally, who has to send out privacy policies each year

There was no autopsy.  Says so right on his death certificate, which is on
the internet.  It was his hospital record that was distributed illegally.

You are correct.  However, I saw the report on the internet with every
little IV, scar and catheter documented and a 'confidential' stamp at the
top of the notice.  It is still PHI (personal health information) which is
protected by the HIPAA privacy rule although, no rule was ever required for
ethical health care providers!

Though I agree the act was criminal, 50 years ago maybe 10 people
would have seen it.  These days, one indiscretion and 100 million
people see it within minutes.  Just ask Ms Jackson!

I met with a nutritionist last week. SHe told me the regular food
police people have finished gathering opinions from whomever they ask
(doctors, nutritionists, phrenologists, whatever) and they will soon
come out with a revised food pyramid.

Just thought I'd pass this along because I'm bored, don't feel like
exercising and it's raining.

Here's my prediction of the future food pyramid if the food cops have their way :

I use lots of dairy, meat, veggies, fruits and meats in my diet so my
pyramid is more of a square:-)

SWEETS at the bottom of the pyramid?  For me it's more like
Veggies, meats, seeds, nuts, fruits, dairy, oils... in that order. :)

It may be that way for you, but there are a lot of "food nannies" out
there who think we should be told what we can and cannot eat (either
by legislation, regulation, or taxation).

Message to John Banzhaf, PETA, PCRM, and PETA : It's my body...not
yours. You can have my fillet mignon, boneless skinless garlic lemon
pepper chicken breasts, and Big Bacon Classic when you pry it from my
cold, dead hands!

Personally, I don't think I'd want to eat it after prying it from
your cold, dead hands!
