Belphoebe - 04 Mar 2004 13:36 GMT At my largest, I was wearing size-24 jeans. Now I'm in size eights! It's been more than 20 years (I'll be 37 in May) since I've been able to do this, so I'm inordinately excited. Needed to share. . . . :)

Makes me think there is hope for me - I just yesterday was able to wear MY size 24s (down from a max of size 28). Smallest I ever was I wore a size 10.
Keep up the good work!

I can ALMOST fit into a 22, but not for out in public. I spent a lot of time yesterday in my closet, trying on all my tops and pants. I need to go shopping soon - I have two slacks in 24 and only one pair in 22. After that, I'm bare!

Take plenty of pictures of yourself, and also dig out the most disgusting picture from the fat times, and stick it to your fridge, as a reminder to not fall off the diet. Size 8 is a very nice size, my wife is also size 8 and it is beautiful.

I know that if I ever went back to my old ways of eating, I'd go right back to gaining weight, so I don't even consider that an option. Fortunately, my husband and I adopted the same WOE (low-glycemic, unprocessed, no trans fats), so we keep our "food environment" conducive to that WOE.
Thanks for the encouragement. :) -- Belphoebe

Keep up the good work, JJ. Jeans shopping could be a great way to celebrate mini-goals. Plus a pretty top that shows off your progress. :) -- Belphoebe

That is an amazing achievement.
What I want to ask (mainly because my start weight is roughly the same and I hope to also get to your present wieght) is about skin. Did you find that your belly skin shrunk down? I don't expect that it's shrunk back to flat but do you find it really flabby and lots of loose skin?

I've been finding that my belly skin kind of goes back and forth between loose skin and firming up again. Right now it's in one of its slightly loose phases, so I'm hoping it firms again. I've been a bit nervous about the skin issue, too.
