My sister and I returned today from our trip to the Florida State High
School wrestling tournaments in Lakeland.  It was fantastic.  Oviedo
qualified 11 members for the tournaments and finished with 3 state
champions, one runner-up, two 3rd place winners, one 5th place winner and
the overall team championship.  They also broke the state record for team
points in the big school division.  My great-nephew placed 3rd in his weight
class.  After the tournaments my sister and I headed to the Orlando area for
a week of shopping and sight seeing.  I can't believe I spent a week in
Orlando and didn't step foot in one of the Disney parks.  The nearest we
came was shopping in Downtown Disney and Celebration.  One of the highlights
was our trip to Daytona Beach - it was Bike Week and there were thousands of
motorcycles.  Our kids can't believe my sister and I actually went to Bike
Week <G>

I should have tried on my cropped pants before I packed them for the trip.
I had to buy some new ones as most of the ones I packed were just a little
too big.  I didn't think the few pounds I've lost since last summer would
make such a difference.  I haven't stepped on the scales since returning
home but I doubt my weight has changed too much since I managed to stick
pretty close to the usual woe.  As expected the only exercise was walking
but there was plenty of it.  I'll be glad to get back to my regular
routines.  I'm looking forward to getting back to Curves.  I never thought I
would miss exercise<g>  I need to get in shape for the bike riding this
summer.

Right now I need to finish unpacking and tackle the mountain of laundry.  I
also need to start thinking about where I'm going to use the free round trip
airline ticket I received for taking a voluntary bump in Atlanta on the trip
down to Florida.  I'm thinking my daughter and I might be taking a trip to
San Francisco later this year.  We volunteered for another bump on the way
home but they didn't need it - too bad as this one was worth two round trip
tickets.

It's good to be back home.  It will take me a week to get caught up on the
posts so I'll just say hello to the new members and congratulations to the
losers while I've been gone.

Thanks Elise.  It was a great tournament - they blew the competition away!

I'm glad you had such a great time Beverly!  I plan to show your post to
my friend to prove that a vacation doesn't *have* to throw the entire WOE
offtrack.

I missed you.

Thanks Laurie.

I don't have too much trouble staying on track when I'm on vacation.  Our
hotel had a great continental breakfast and that certainly helped.  For
lunch we ate light knowing we were going out for dinner.  A couple of days
we were busy and skipped lunch.  Dinner normally consisted of salad and
some type of seafood.  I always said I could never eat a whole lobster but
my sister talked me into it. I was surprised I wasn't appalled when they
served that ugly thing on my plate<g>  Not sure I'll ever order it again as
it's just too much work getting that lobster meat out of the shell.

Here's blasphemy coming from Maine, but I think lobstah is too much work
too.  It gets cold before you're done, too.  I much prefer scallops.

Welcome back.

Another trip down to my neck of the woods without a hello...  I see
how you are.   :-)

Glad you had fun, and its a great time of year to be here - as the
weather is nice and warm, not too hot or cold.

Bike week is quite the interesting event to go visit....   ;-)

And a big congrats on the change in bodyshape in those pants.   Of
course you should have been able to get some good deals on summer
clothes down here at the malls.

Maybe one of these days I'll have time to visit when I'm in Florida.  Our
first few days were spent in the gym watching the wrestling matches.  The
rest of the time my sister and I were running all over the place.  We barely
had time to meet the family for dinner<g>

I'm sorry we missed the best part of Bike Week (topless event on Sunday) <G>

Thanks Perple.  We had a great time in Florida.  I'm still trying to get
back into my regular routine.
