It has been 6 months since I went into maintenance. It has not been
incredibly difficult to maintain weight and it is becoming a little
easier, although not without effort. I still weigh myself every
day. My weight and moving average (computed programmatically)can be
seen at http://igor.chudov.com/weightloss/
Having modest health goals for this year helps a bit to stay focused.
I still eat the same stuff as always, which is everything except
sweeteners and junk food. Still have to strictly control portions.
No matter what, I cannot eat as much as I want.
I eat a large quantity of vegetables per day, which helps somewhat
with appetite control.
I also noticed that my immunity has gotten better. We all had cold in our
family recently. My son and my wife had it pretty bad, with running
noses, fever etc. Ibarely had sore throat for half day. I used to have
bad colds just like everyone else, before. Which part of my regiman
helps, is not at all obvious. Is it vegetables, walking, weight loss,
calorie restriction etc, I am not sure.
This has been the longest time ever since I started, and stuck to, my
weightlifting program. I would always start weightlifting and give up
in a few months.

Thanks Alien... You, amongst others, are a source of inspiration for
me, as well. I do not feel as alone with my weight issues as I would
be without this newsgroup. I have come to a sad conclusion that I am a
"naturally fat" person who always will have to work on staying slim.
