Woohoo! I've lost 10 pounds since starting this new WOE in late
January. If you subtract my time in Disneyland and the week I
tried maintainence (which worked great), that's 2 pounds per week!
I'm sure that sounds slow to some people, but I'm thrilled! And
I know I'll be able to keep it off, which matters most to me.

We're having company for dinner tonight -- while everyone else
is eating their rich, store-bought dessert, I'm going to try a
combination of low fat cottage cheese, fresh strawberries, milk,
and a little Splenda. If I come up with something yummy, I'll
post the recipe tomorrow...

You're doing great and that 2 pounds per week is fantastic.

I've never been to Disneyland but I know how tempting it can be to eat
yourself through one of the Disney parks.  I think the only thing that keeps
me from gaining when I'm at Disney World is all the walking.  My sister and
I recently returned from a week and half in Orlando and I was pleased to see
I had only gained a half pound during the trip.

Let us know how the dessert turns out.

I gained 2 pounds, but I do tend to think that was at least partly
from all the walking (fat-to-muscle), because I didn't give in to a
lot of temptation. Well, except for fudge -- they sell great fudge at
their candy shops and I indulged twice.

I'm sorry to say, I didn't care for it. I do like cottage cheese with
pineapple or other fruit on it, but adding 1% milk and Splenda was a
mistake. It tasted like a bad cheesecake! Next time, I'll just have
the strawberries. OTOH, I was not at all tempted by the gooey chocolate
cake my friend brought, so that's a Good Thing...
