As I have said, this WOL is about my health.
I had my quarterly physical.
Blood glucose, which I test every day, is between 89 and 109. Below
120 is goal. A year ago, when I was first diagnosed with Type II
diabetes, it swerved between 150 and 200.
A1C (another measure of blood glucose that must be done in lab rather
than at home) is 6. Six or below is goal.
Doc says if I can keep daily blood glucose under 120 for next two
months and get A1C to 5.5 , I can stop taking oral medication for
diabetes.
Now that's what I'm talking about!

Those are great results, Kasey. Stick to that new WOL and you'll be off the
meds soon.
I'm with you on the "it's all about health". I've never been too concerned
about getting to a certain weight. I just want to increase my changes of
leading a long, healthy life.
Congratulations.

Thanks! I take Metformin (generic glucophage), 500 mg. once daily.

That is a very low dose, I believe the lowest they prescribe! I take 1500
mg Glucophage XR 1x a day for my PCOs and I don't even have diabetes.

Yay! That's very encouraging, Kasey. My A1C was *9* back in January,
before I started the diet/exercise WOL. I'm hoping it will be lower
in April and that eventually I can quit the medication too...
