Hi asd :)

I weighed myself today instead of the usual Friday (I have to go away
overnight for work) and found I have lost 2 lb.  That means in total
I've now lost a stone and a half! (21 lb).  It feels great.  Events
this week have again made it difficult for me to get out to exercise
classes etc, but I have been doing around 20 mins walking a day (by a
adding 10 mins to the walk to and from school), and it obviously
works.

Good luck to all with your eating and exercise, and thanks for the
on-going support and encouragement,

thanks Ig, Perple Girl, Chris :-)

you know what, this weight loss thing is catching!  My partner weighed
himself today and found he's lost 8 lb.  He hasn't been actively
dieting (eg he doesn't do the same kind of portion control I do) but
the changes we've made to our way of eating have had a good impact for
him.  He is a little overweight (tho nowhere near my level lol) and
already gets regular exercise cycling too and from work.

Then 8 lbs lost for him means a lot more than 8 lbs lost for
you. Kudos to you both.

Hooray, Clarrie! I'm impressed that you found a way to include
exercise, rather than just say "I can't make it to class, I'll
go later". Keep up the good work... :-)

thanks JJ :-)
I used to think I didn't have 'time' to walk, well not at a decent
speed anyway, as most of my non-work time is spent in the company of a
4 yr old, but after I gave it a little thought I came up with these
ways
- doing 10 mins (soon to be increased to 15 mins) added on to the walk
to school (ie after drop off/before pick up)
- putting daddy in charge on trips to the park - daddy supervises son
in the playground while I walk round the park for 20 mins or so
- going on family walks anyway but accepting you don't get brisk
walking with a 4yr old in tow :-)
