Yay! Just completed week 10 of my diet and I've attained one of my
mini-goals. The diet software I'm using is no longer calling me obese! Now
it says I'm overweight!

You must be pretty tall then! Congratulations on having lost 29
lbs. This puts you into a serious dieter category.

Thanks, I am pretty tall (over 6 feet). No one has ever described me as
petite!

that's fantastic, Dewolla!!
I was so delighted when I stopped being 'morbidly obese' and became
merely 'obese'
when I become 'overweight' I'm having a party!

I use FitDay (www.FitDay.com), I have the PC-based version. I really love
it. I am one of those people who likes to keep track of everything and
FitDay lets me do that.

Funny, I was just asking about this software in another thread. :-)
I've been using DietPower, but although I like it, I think it could
be better. For example:
You have to close each window to switch from logging foods to editing
the food dictionary or recipe files, or logging exercise.
The pre-programmed nutrition facts don't usually agree with the USDA
or food label figures.
Do you think FitDay PC handles these issues better?

I hadn't really done a comparison between FitDay's pre-programmed
nutritional info and the USDA. I've been entering everything I eat as new
"custom" foods and put in the nutrition info from the food labels. That way
I know for sure, and get away from the dilemma of dealing with generic info.

Hello Dewolla,
Congratulations on getting out of that obese category. I had to get down
to 211 to get out of the obese to overweight category. You must be taller
than me, I'm 5'11". Keep up the great work of losing the weight and you'll
get to the normal category before you know it.
Take care,
Paul
