One week of PT under my belt now, and today will start week 2.

Last week I had my 3 sessions, but the first was really just the
meetngreet.

Thurs and Frid I went in for the therapy, did the exercises with light
weights, and then sat with the electric unit pushing drugs into my
knee.  (dextomet....  some big long name - a cortison derivative).

Friday when I went for therapy I could feel my knee hurting more than
it had before.   I'm sure it was the therapy from Thursdya.

But - get this.   Woke up on Saturday morning PAIN FREE!   It was
awesome.   For the first time in about 2 months my knee didn't hurt to
walk around on it.  It didn't hurt to stand up, to squat, to do
anything.

I still went thru my Therapy routine at home and took the
anti-inflamatory meds.

Satuday afternoon I went for a bike ride.   11 miles, done in under 50
mins.  It wasn't a seriously hard ride, but it was enough to get my
heart rate going yet still be mindful of my knee.    The entire time I
was mindful of the motion, trying to stay circular in the peddling, as
well as focusing on that inner thigh muscle and how it was working.
(the one that I need to build up).

Within the last 1.5 miles I could start feeling a minor strain in the
knee.  Nothing compared to how it had been.   I got home, forgot to
ice my knee (DH was waiting for me and we had an errand to run.)

Sunday - I woke pain free again.   It wasn't until late in the day
when I was helping DH w/ some yard work and walked up the grade in the
back yard that I felt the pinch of the knee for the first time all
weekend.   A gentle reminder that "its there"...  but not nearly as
bad as it has been.

It is awesome that the pain has been reduced!  I hope that it gets
completely better with continued PT!

Glad to hear the knee is doing better.  Now don't overdo it <g>

><snip good news>

Great to hear the knee is better and the bike ride didn't bother you.  Makes
you feel like less of a couch potato to be able to get around easier, no?

Sounds like progress. Maybe just needed a realignment!
