Made it up to the Center for Health Excellence(the place where I found a scale that can weigh me) last night. A little nervous about going, the last time I got weighed was last May and I tipped the scale at 510lbs...

Stepped onto the scale and had to do a double-take. 456.6lbs! 53.4lbs lost since last May, the bulk of that I imagine was lost within the last 2 1/2 months.

I plan to get up there once a month to get weighed and will definitely keep you guys informed of my progress.

Got my walk in this morning, in the middle of a blizzard(I live in the W. MI area - 'Tulip Time' is next week!), and its supposed to get up to 70 degrees tomorrow! This crazy MI weather!

unbelievable progress Matty. There is a guy here Smokey who lost about
half his weight, from 425 to 225, I think. it is doable and you are
doing fantastic. Are you feeling any better now?

unbelievable is right. But looking at the reduction in calorie intake and
increase in exercise over the past 2 1/2 months...

Feeling better, I am walking with little or no windedness and actually have
energy to go out and do things. Still nursing a pinched nerve from overdoing
some spring clean up, but I am ready to tackle the local zoo w/ my son &
nephews this Saturday!

 Your progress is wonderful, Matty.

I'm not too far away - down in SW Ohio and we're finally beginning to have spring weather.  Now if it would just quit raining.

Congrats on the walking.  Have you been trying to do this everyday?  Walking was the exercise I chose when I first lost my weight a few years ago.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Bev,

Try to walk everyday. Didn't get out on Sunday, I was at a police auction on Sat. and stood on a concrete floor for over 2 hours so my pinched nerve & knees were killing me. Should've gotten out but didn't...

Close to getting back up to 2mi/day, this pinched nerve is a real bugger!

Will continue walking and I'll be adding strength/toning to the program soon. My S-I-L is a physical therapist and she said she'd help with that. My in-laws have a pool so I'll also be including some pool exercises into the mix this summer...

Gotta be a reason for the snow, maybe the tulips were getting too 'ripe' and need some slowing down to bloom in time for the parades...
