I'm going to try to make my tomato paste- spinach - fish "stew" into a
curry.  Curry ingrediants?  I'm using 8 oz tomato paste, 4 oz water, 8
oz spinach, and 4 oz fish in my stew.

this has nothing to do with curry whatsoever.

What you are trying to make is "slurry", not "curry".

The simple approach is to buy some curry powder and add that to the
mix.  It's really a mixture of other spices, like coriander, cumin,
pepper, etc.  There are a gazillion recipes on the web, for example:

If you're really interrested in curry, you might want to have a look at
"Best Curries of India" by Camellia Panjabi
(http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0684803836/qid=1083221231/sr=
8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/104-1356043-0074320?v=glance&s=books&n=507846).
Not only do you get the recipes, but also the basic rules for making your
own curry (like the different kinds of tastes and aroma you should mix).
Most of the recipes are not diet, but you can always tweak them. ;)
