My spring update...

OK, I botched over the winter... it was cold, I didn't get out enough
and well, didn't exercise much either. And, I ate too much when I did
go out. Got in a habit of grabbing more fast food (primarily Subway
though) than normal.

So I gained back about 12 pounds. Ugh! You'd think I'd learn!

However, I'm back going to the gym and the weight is starting to come
off again. 1.5 pounds last week.

George is also going to the gym and walking daily!

We are excited about doing this! I'm still working with new recipes
and we are both eating somewhat modified carb.

Some days I walk twice.

Today though, I'm resting. Tomorrow it will be back to the gym.

North Dakota is much nicer in spring than in winter!

Glad to see you back.  I'm sure it will be easier and more enjoyable with
George joining you at the gym.

Good to see you too! Here's to a slimmer summer and a maintained
winter!

I haven't been even reading the group for an age... but I may start
again, just to see what's going on with folks.

As for me and George... his schedule is such that often, we are at the
gym at completely different times. Sometimes we get there together,
and that's nice, but mostly, we are not. But it is fun to compare how
our workouts went later.

I like to do my walking outdoors, whereas George often has to walk at
the gym's walking track.

It's tough, as his schedule rotates so much. Last week he was on days,
this week on the graveyard shift... next week on swing shift.

Hey Cynthia - good to hear from you again.

I never learn either but now it's time to come out of hibernation as
summer is coming.

Glad things are going well for you and George and hoping to see you
posting here again.

Well good, you can "de-hibernate" along with me!

Probably won't post tons, I'm busy... and soon to be busier!

But I will be reading again some if only to watch for recipes and
workout tips! I have a hunch that as it gets warmer and the mosquitoes
come out, I'll be less fond of walking outdoors and may look into
other forms of exercise.

I can walk indoors at the gym, but it's sort of boring since my radio
broke. Outdoors, there is enough to look at without having a radio.
All I know is that I will walk further if I am outdoors than if I am
indoors.

Hey Cynthia,

So, how is married life treating you?   :-)   Take advantage of that
spring weather and get out, get moving!

Married life is good. The kitty LOVES his daddy! It's very touching
really.

Yes, it's good to have spring here... though sometimes the weather is
less than ideal, I've been out in it! Winter is just out of the
question... I found I started to get the first signs of frostbite
within 10 minutes at those temps. Even wearing double gloves.

So it's no wonder I didn't spend much time outdoors trying to dig my
car out to go to the gym. I need my fingers!

Today is arm day... and I hope it goes well. I crinkled some muscle or
other in my left back/shoulder, just shrugging off my towel the other
day to get on the scale. Ugh.
