I printed out a nutritional guide from one of those restaurants a few days
ago to keep in the car. I took it downstairs and was reading some of the
stuff off it to my kids. We were all amazed at the calories in some of the
items we had consumed without thinking. Nothing, simply nothing, has helped
me make better food choices more than reading nutrition labels. It has
virtually stopped me from eating frozen pre made anythings, no matter how
rushed I am.

For me, if I want to really lose my appetite, I read the actual ingredients
list. I cannot believe the utter crap that is in some stuff that people
unabashedly and unapologetically sell and ask for money in exchange.

I know exactly what you mean. When I was full size, I went through 2-3
od those instant noodle in a cup things a day. You wouldn't believe the
sodium level they contain.

One of the most important parts of living a healthy lifestyle is
learning how to read nutrition labels.
