As I've mentioned several times I lost my original weight on the Weight
Watchers plan back in the 90's.  Since that time I've managed to stay within
15 pounds of my goal weight (140).  The last couple of years it's been a
struggle to lose any weight and I'm stuck in the 147-150 range.  They're
ready to start another session of the WW at work program and I've decided to
give it another try.  Hopefully this is what I need to get these last few
stubborn pounds off.

The new sessions start the 18th of this month and run for 10 weeks.  I'm
hoping I can at least lose 10 pounds during this session.  Maybe what I need
is the accountability of having to weigh-in each week.  I intend to count
calories in addition to the points this time.  I'll also be trying to keep
the carb/protein/fat ratio in balance.  I thought I heard they had a lower
carb program - I'll find out at the first meeting.

My year will be up at Curves next month and I think I'll pay a visit to the
nearby Bally's sometime this week.  I want to check out the facilities and
programs available.  I'm especially interested in exercises to build
endurance and strength.

These last few pounds have got to go!

Good luck to you at WW, Beverly -- and I think you are definitely on the right track
with weight work.

I've been doing the Curves for almost a year.  I've lost more inches than
pounds<g>  I think it's time to step up to a regular gym.  I was diagnosed
with osteopenia a few years ago and I've been doing everything I can to stop
the bone loss.

Well, looks like we've got similar goals for the next little while.
:-)

You can do it, you can do it!

Thanks.  We'll have to see how weight loss goes with all the bike riding.  I
have a tendency to eat more when biking as I have a tough time keeping the
energy levels on an even keel.

Hi Beverly,

I really believe you will get more out of working out at a real gym instead
of Curves.  I don't miss my membership much and have gotten in better shape
working out at 24hour fitness.

I'm ready for more variety but I'm going to miss the convienence of the 30
minute workout.  I was hoping to get over to Bally's this weekend but I had
to work today, tomorrow is tied up with biking and Sunday is a family
birthday get together.
