Hi ASD,

Well it will be 9 months on May 27th since I started my weightloss by
exercising and new way of eating.  I'm happy to report I've lost 119 pounds
now and have another 6 to go to make my goal of 175.  Today I weighed in at
181 pounds.  My birthday is June 30th so if I can lose a couple pounds a
week over the next month then I should have attained my goal.

I still try to exercise everyday, but with work find that somedays I can
only do an hour workout instead of two and sometimes I might take a day or
two off if I have timing issues that make it difficult to workout and have
time for the family.  Even with these set backs it doesn't seem to affect my
weight by going backup.

I still eat healthy and treat myself once in awhile.  I don't eat
emotionally anymore, at least I don't think I do.

Well I hope everyone is doing great with there weightloss and maintenance,

Paul

Paul, you just go from strength to strength, and I am full of
admiration for you.  You seem to have found a WOE/WOL that's for the
long term, which to me is a sign of real success.

Your progress is inspirational!  It's great that you've been able to adjust
to your new schedule without too much disruption to your program and that
you haven't lost sight of what's important.  Not only that, but you were
able to overcome so many obstacles to get where you are today.  Keep up the
great work and I wish you all of the best in your continued journey.

Paul, your progress has been nothing short of amazing!  And I'm so
happy for you for the other positive changes you've made in your life
as well.  Congratulations!

Thanks Iggy,

First I plan to try to start adding muscle while still losing some fat.  I
really have to play it by ear because I'm not sure how low I should go and
be safe, but if I add some muscle then I should gain some weight.  I've
heard that for every five pounds of muscle one adds they burn an extra 750
calories in a day.  I'd like to stay somewhere between 165 and 190 pounds
and would like to get to a point where my ab muscles can be seen.  I have
already seen definition in my arms that I've never seen in my life and can't
imagine what's gonna happen when I start lifting weights.

Oh well I hope your maintenance is going well,

Paul

I heard the number of 50 calories per pound:

http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/calories/burning_calories/burn_more_calories.htm

so, your 5 lbs will burn extra 250 calories per day, which is quite
respectable.

I also want to see some ab definition, and I am still quite far from
it. This year I plan on losing 6 more pounds of weight and gaining
some extra muscle. My weight loss is, unfortunately, going a bit
better than my muscle gain.

I have a gut feeling that you will be able to maintain weight. You
have showed a lot of determination!

Your progress is amazing.  I'm glad to hear you've been able to adjust
quickly to the new job and still keep up with the exercise.

Hi Gyrl,

Dr. Phil season is over so I didn't make it.  They did say I could be
chosen in the future but I pretty much am not counting on it now.  I'm just
glad I tried and got to speak with two producer.  I might wait till my goal
weight to take more photos.  How are things with you?

They are ok so far.  I am up a couple of lbs due to the prednisone eye drops
I am on... Besides that, I am good.  I am back at the gym working out.  I
had to take a bit off due to the eye surgery I had.  Sorry you didn't make
the show.
