Herring spinach stew report

Yep - I'm still at it one month later - every dinner except Saturday.
It gets yummier and yummier as I learn how to spice and prepare it.
My latest: 1) cook 6 oz of baby spinach in microwave for 3 minutes.
2) then add 1 6 oz can of tomato paste, 8 oz of water, 3 heaping
tablespoons of minced garlic, 3 heaping tablespoons of diced onions, 1
3.5 oz can of kippered herring (called kippered snacks), 3 teaspoons
of Italian seasoning (Mc Cormick or Cento), and pepper to taste.  You
may want to add salt, I don't. This herring spinach stew is one of the
healthiest meals you will ever eat.  If you eat for health instead of
for pleasure this would be your dinner of choice.  PS - it really
doesn't taste bad.

that's about 26 oz of food, or about 1.5 lbs... not bad.

Have you thought about separating spinach from the rest of your meal?

After you mix everything together, do you cook it, or eat it right away?
I'm thinking of trying this.  Can't kill me and I do like fish.

Chrys,

Re: cooking - first I microware the spinach for 3 minutes at full
power.  Then I slice the spinach up and add the other ingrediants.
Final step - cook for 5 minutes at full power, let sit another 5
minutes.

I'm confused what you're adding these all to: your bowl?  A soup pot?  I
assume this is one serving?  Shall I further assume you live alone and
have no occasion to kiss people?

one can eat for both nutrition AND pleasure?
