What are hcg injections?
these are injections of a hormone, that helps you lose weight...they now
have an oral type, but I don't know much about it. I know with my mother,
she did gain weight back once, but did maintain it the next time....
It is not something that is cheap, but my doctor doesn't condsider it...so I
just wondered if there were otheres that did it as well....any more info
would be greatly appreciated....
thanks for asking...

Human chorionic gonadotropin, a pregnancy hormone. It's commonly used
in certain infertility treatments -- for example, in preparing for an
n-vitro procedure, another hormone is used to produce multiple eggs and
then HCG to stimulate their maturing for collection. I'd never heard of
it being used for weightloss before. But as I recall, an HCG injection
made me feel like superwoman.
HCG levels normally double every few days in the first 8 to 10 weeks
of pregnancy, and then level off and start to lower.

Excellent point. Same thing I was asking.

times and regained all her weight and more each time. It is extremely
costly and not covered by OHIP in Ontario.

now after 2 children, I am just so frustrated...only 30 lbs, but I just feel
like I look like a big sack of poop!!!

Diane, with just 30 lbs to go, injecting some dubious hormones to lose
weight is plainly crazy. You can lose that weight in a few months (say
5 months) without an incredible effort, by eating better, eating less,
and exercising moderately. There are many diets that actually work, if
you stick to them. In the grand scheme of things, if you lose weight,
to keep it off, for the rest of your life, you have to be on a diet
anyway, so the first 5 months' effort is not a big deal.
Feeling like a sack of sh.t is a normal consequence of overeating and
junk food abuse. (although it cound obviously have other causes) Once
you stop that, you will likely feel better in a few weeks.

Hi Diane,
My daughter (32 Yrs Old) is on the first 45 days of this program. She has
lost 40 lbs, and is very pleased. She hasn't tried Maintenence yet.
I choose to try a different program, which is much less intense. Isagenix is
a Nutritional Cleansing program and I have had Excellent results. So far I
have lost 37 lbs and 48 inches, and I am not finished yet. If you are
interested in checking out this webpage, it has success stories of people who
have lost over 100 and 200 lbs.
