Julie Nova - 24 May 2004 13:45 GMT Hi,
I used to post here a long time ago, around 1999-2001. I went from 150 to 115, and maintainted 115 for about a year, then stopped posting. I've not been able to maintain the 115, but was sticking at about 135 for the last year. Recently, I've had a job change and work for a great company. I need to get back to a WOE and WOL that is structured, as this company has a lot of the old dotCOM perks like bagels, lunches called in, donuts etc. After one month, I'm up to 139. It's hard to maintain 115, so I'm shooting for my original goal of 125 through my original exercise and calorie counting vegetarian diet.
I see some familiar names still here, mostly still at maintenance. Congrats to you all!
Julie
Beverly - 24 May 2004 14:57 GMT Welcome back, Julie. There have been quite a few Julie's over the years but I'm sure I'll remember which one you are after a few posts<g>

> Hi, > [quoted text clipped - 13 lines] > > Julie Julie Nova - 24 May 2004 19:05 GMT I used to go by JulieAnne (and yes JJF, we did correspond!). I used the Anne back then because there was another Julie. Now there's a Julieanne on ASD, so I guess I'll just be Julie. I'm using my Yahoo account now, because of Google archives and spam mail. Only bad thing is I have to wait for the posts to appear in Google to respond, since my Linux newsreader won't take a different address.
I think it really helps to post here and be accountable, already I avoided overeating at lunch since posting this morning. Now I just have to work out an exercize program, I cancelled my gym membership a while back, and my knees don't seem to agree with running anymore. I guess it will have to be walking and cycling until I can get a more convenient gym membership.

You'll have to send me an email and bring me up to speed. I can do the same too.
You were the only one in the correct weight range (and job details), but you didn't mention the family. And then remember the other Julie that had been in school, graduated, moved and last I heard was when they dealt with the house fire.
I have thought of you many times over the years.

I don't remember you from the past, but I'm in Northern Virginia too -- live in Haymarket & work in Chantilly.
Regarding gyms: I belong to Lifetime Fitness, which has gyms in Fairfax & Centreville; I go to both. I recommend them highly if they'd be convenient for you.

Your numbers look great, neighbor! I work in Chantilly and live in Centreville. I used to belong to Lifetime Fitness, I'm thinking of rejoining or joining the Gold's Gym on Sullyfield Circle. It's a matter of finding the time to get there.

:-) grinning at this post. Julie... I know I'd be intimidated as all hell to join Chris in a workout. :) (meant with honors)

[quoted text clipped - 5 lines] > :-) grinning at this post. Julie... I know I'd be intimidated as all > hell to join Chris in a workout. :) (meant with honors) Hey no competition here :^) - I haven't exercised regularly in ages and am not fit to work out w/ Chris based on my recollection of previous posts (wasn't there some competitive weight lifting involved?). I know I'll never get back to the level of fitness I had when I was going to Lifetime regularly and mixing running with free weights (squats and all the Nina stuff). I burnt out on it when life got stressful. I'd just be happy to get in some cardio and a yoga class now and then. I feel too tired to even think about weight lifting, but maybe if I got back into the routine of exercise I'd have more energy.
Julie, yawning at 830....

Seriously, though, Julie -- I do think you're right that if you get into exercising more you'll find you have more energy. And don't say you'll never get back to the fitness level you once had. I'm more fit at 56 than I've ever been before in my life. It's never too late!

Now, you'll have to give me a few more hints so I can recall *which* julie you are. :-) There were 2 that posted regularly back then that I used to also converse with outside the group. But the "nova" isn't ringing a bell.

susanjoneslewis - 26 May 2004 01:26 GMT Thanks to you and Chris both for noticing - I FINALLY get a day off tomorrow. I'm not going to do 1 damn thing either. I plan on staying in my pajama's ALL day, unless I go to get my nails done or tan(save the tan speech folks, I know the risks)
Other than that.. nada, zip, zilch, zero, not one damn thing. Yup. Another lb gone. :)
