Twenty weeks have passed and this week has been incredible. 4.7 more
pounds gone!
That means I have a little over 13 pounds to lose to get to my
immediate goal, that of moving from overweight to "normal" (at least
as far as BMI goes!). I can "smell the barn" as grandpa used to say.
I'll probably set another goal once I reach my first. When I joined
TOPS in 1976 my beginning weight was 198! I lost down to 154 that
year, my first major diet experience. From what I can determine my
healthy weight range is from 148 to 199. I may shoot for midrange,
maybe 175. We'll see! I don't want to get ahead of myself, though, I
still have to lose 13+ pounds to get to my first target.
Thanks for everyone's support. I've said it before but I have to say
it again, the accountability that you here on ASD provide is my
motivation. I love you all.

Dewolla, your progress is awesome, but I would personally slow down my
weight loss around the point where you reach normal weight...

I think that pretty much takes care of itself. Once you're a normal
weight, it's hard to lose more without starving yourself. YMMV

It was true for me.
Some people have such incredible willpower that perhaps they can
continue rapidly losng weight at normal weight.

That's great progress Dewolla. To lose over 4 lbs in a week when
you've come this far is pretty good going. You'll be below 200 in no
time now.
