I had to be towed back to shore!

Hi, Everyone...

We recently purchased a jet ski and I've run across a problem I hope
someone can help me with. I'm a large person (around 300 lbs.) and though I
figured out how to get on the jet ski in shallow water, I have twice now
fallen off in deep water and could not get back on the thing! We had a step
put on the back of it hoping that would solve the problem, but it's so
narrow I can't really get both knees on it. We also tried a rope ladder
which I thought was going to work - I actually got up on the steps of the
ladder and got one foot on the back of the jet ski but then it tipped me
over before I could get my other foot on it to balance things out.

I KNOW there have to be other large people who ride jet ski's that have
come across this problem!! Could you share how you handle this situation? I
was
humiliated both times because we ended up just having to have my husband
"tow" me back to shore with a rope - which hurt like crazy and also made me
think I was going to drown due to all the water I kept swallowing...

Thanks for any help...

No one would bat an eye at this post is the person in question didn't weigh 300
pounds. When I read posts like this that have the intent to ridicule and hurt, I
want to reach through the phone line and separate NR from the things he loves
most....his prosthetic balls.

This was reposted without the original posters permission by a coward
that will do anything to make fat people look bad. It will play all
the cross posted groups against each other because no one wants to
read its drivel.

The identify of the coward of a little boy named NR who may live in
chicago and loves cycling and photography.

These facts are provided in the hopes that some smart person can
track this very stupid one.

Long and Deep NR. NOW!

Yes, Abdul has hit upon a very ingenious suggestion for you with the
harpoon thing!  Next time, go out on your jet ski in the vicinity of a
crowd of whaling ships!  They will harpoon you, pull you up their
carcass ramp, and "FLENSE" you, which means to strip the blubber off
you.  This will permanently solve your entire problem!

Or...you could just lose weight on your own.   NAWWW, that'd never
work.  You'd best try the whaling ship thing.

Though these mean-spirited posts do not even deserve a response from me, how
do you know I haven't already lost a LOT of weight and am just now trying to
get back into life by enjoying something I love dearly - jet skiing??  Don't
make such assumptions.  My note was an honest plea for help in solving a
real problem.  The mere fact I am brave enough to get out there on the jet
ski speaks volumes!  The fact I'm having a little logistical difficulty was
the reason I asked for help from others who may know more about jet skis
than I do...

And BTW, I do not appreciate whoever posted this on 3 other newsgroups
without my permission.

I agree that no one should be making fun of you because of your weight
and congratulations to you for your efforts and successes in losing
weight. However, you did publicly post that you had to be towed to
shore. You must understand how incredible that sounds to some people.

> The mere fact I am brave enough to get out there on the jet
>ski speaks volumes!

That sounds like fat acceptor speech, Jack. Again, congratulations on
your success and I would definitely encourage you to continue to be
active.

But do you really think it is appropriate to be patting yourself on
the back for trying to lead a healthy life? People should do that
anyway.

Being someone who greatly enjoys water sports, I can tell you that any
time you are trying to climb on an object floating in water, it
requires substantially more strength, balance and muscle control than
climbing on a stationary object. I know athletic people who have a
hell of a time climbing up on an innertube.

I am not aware of any apparatus that will help you. You simply need to
continue to lose weight and build muscle. Raw strength is the only
real answer. It will get easier over time. Good luck.

I don't imagine you do, but that is the nature of usenet and the
internet. Anytime you post something publicly, you have to be prepared

Actually imbecile, this is a forgery.  Where the forger found the
original post is not apparent, though the forgery is.  While there
appears to be a real person posting as Jackibar, if you would have
taken a second to read full headers or to google the poster's history,
it is very obvious the real Jackibar has only this single post to
SSFA.

A quick google searched based on Jacki's response, reveals the
simpleminded change in subject header and where the post originated
[alt.sport.jet-ski] Jackibar has posted to various other groups, but
the original post that started the thread and the one other SSFA
posting are forgeries using her email address.  No doubt her forger
saw her website [which is quite informative and much appreciated
according to the visitors comments], saw that she was fat and in the
usual obsessive idiot/fr/troll manner decided to attack a person with
more worth then they can every hope to have.

The patented Jade selective perception thing going on once again.

<sigh>

Do you see fat acceptors behind every fat person with self worth and
the desire to live a healthy life?  Those two attributes are good for
anybody, fat or not.  The ability for a fat person to  hold on to them
in a fat hating society shows more strength and value than you or any
of you troll/fr/idiots can ever hope to aspire to.

Tell me, do you think that you gain any credibility by making such
bonehead comments?

Jacki, the insect who reposted this is a coward and an idiot.  They
don't care if you appreciate it or not.  They live only to provoke,
[thus the changing of your subject line in its usual pathetic attempt
to be humorous] be glad that they are as inept at this as they are at
trying to make you look bad.

The plus side is, they led me [and probably others] to your website
and I congratulate you on the effort you have put into it, and the
information that is offered there.  My mother had the some of the same
symptoms as some of your visitors report, and this was over 30 years
ago when the condition you have provided so much valuable information
on, didn't even have a name!

Spoken like somebody who should be dead from embarrassment by the
tripe that has been published in its name that it is obviously
responsible for.

I think the irony meter may have topped out on this one.

The original post was. This response does not appear to be. Regardless
of that, the real Jackibar posted this in public somewhere. How is it
I'm being an imbecile, oh obviously angry one?

Yep. I assumed they got it from the NAAFA message board, as many of
the previous forgeries have come.

What difference does it make and why would I go through all of that
work when I knew the original post was a forgery already, dumbass?

You're in a real pisser of a rage today it appears. I dont have time
to check all the headers and google people's freaking posting history
or even look at their websites, just to respond to a goddamned post.

Beside the fact, my opinion remains the same whether I'm responding to
a forgery or not.

I'm surprised you have time for all that, considering the oh so full
life you claim to have.

So fat acceptors don't often congratulate one another on their courage
in performing quotidian tasks that any normal sized person does
without thinking about it? Please be clear that this is what you mean

HOw is this boneheaded? Have you ever asked yourself that maybe it
should be a normal thing for people to want to live healthy? Why is it
some goal to be met or obstacle to be overcome to you?

Yes, as I pointed out this is exactly the case.

How did you come to the conclusion that my comment on the obviousness
of the forgery makes me angry?  Is it because forgeries make you so
angry that you made that leap?

Wrong, but then that is usually the case with you.

How convenient that you now claim that you "knew the original post was
a forgery"  pray tell, how did you come by that knowledge?

Do you think responding to an obvious forgery makes you look
intelligent?

<rhetorical>

That you see rage is no less than I would expect from you.  Always
ascribing emotions that are not there.

For your edification, you and your troll buddies have made it almost
imperative that one read full headers so that we can tell at a glance
what is a forgery and what isn't.  That you don't appear to care what
is a troll and what isn't simply shows that your sole intent
is/was/and seeming always will be to provoke and sow discord.

> Beside the fact, my opinion remains the same whether I'm responding to

Yes, your opinion, worthless as it is, will not change.  You don't
have the intelligence or humility to accept new ideas it appears.

> I'm surprised you have time for all that, considering the oh so full
> life you claim to have.

My life and its fullness is not the point here is it?  But nice try at
changing the focus.  You trolls can always be counted on to trundle
that one out when you are unable or unwilling to concede that you are
on the losing end of a debate.

Given the number of posts you've been making [did you recently loose
your job, Jade?  I don't know how else one can justify the hours and
hours you seemingly spend reading, and responding if one has gainful
employment, much less a life away from the computer] I can understand
that you wouldn't take the few moments [all of about 3 that it took
me] to bother to google a poster's history.

You see fat acceptors everywhere Jade.  Your agenda doesn't allow for
anything else obviously.

I wasn't talking about myself here Jade, I was asking you a question
about your perception of Jackie.  That you once again resort to an
snide comment about me gives away just how obsessive you are about me
and my views on fat acceptance.

<placing tongue firmly in cheek>

You know, us Diva's like it when people obsess about us.  Just
reinforces that we are the center of the universe.

Hit a nerve there, Jadie?   Can't refute that a person who holds onto
their self worth in spite of inept attempts to belittle them is
strong, so you make another snide comment.  Your predictability is
getting really old.

Bonehead in that you try and brush off the pride that a person [of any
size] feels in trying to  live a healthy life as a trait only
applicable to FA is where the stupidity shows itself.  If this comment
had come from a person you didn't identify as a FA I'm certain your
response would have been very different.

That you ignore posts that provide that proof and then ignore the

You head is so deeply buried in the sand that you can't concede
defeat.  Must suck to have that much ego.  Even I, a actor, who
identifies as a diva don't have that much.

Hey Jacki,

I would love to get a cow prod and teach this idiot the meaning of
respect, beginning with his anal cavity. If it died do you think
anyone would notice? I highly doubt it.

I think it is great that you can enjoy a sport like Jet skiing. Don't
let talking dildo like this keep you from what you love.

There is not a man among them-just remember that.

Good Luck!
