Usually it takes me a week or so to even out. I retain tons of water when
on vacation, and it doesn't seem to be something that equalizes for me,
until several days after I get home.

Do you dehydrate yourself while on vacation?

For me it isn't dehydration so much has increased sodium intake.
Restaurant food has way more salt than my normal/at home food and it
takes several days at home for this to get out of my system. I don't
know how much of a factor this is for det, but that is definitely a
factor for me.
