I had gained 7 pounds on a 4 day trip - it's now ten days later -
guess what? It's all gone! That seems to prove, at least in my case,
that added salt can cause a 7 pound or more weight gain - and also a
20 point increase in my blood pressure. So, want to lose 7 pounds
easily? Try going on a very low salt diet like I'm on. Yes, it will be
only be water weight loss, but a pound is a pound!

I did that once, before my first weightlifting competition of this
past season, and lost 7 lbs. in one week -- much to my amazement. It
isn't really something I make a general practice of -- it's
surprisingly difficult to avoid sodium -- but it is certainly
effective.
