Tell me more about your story. What are your numbers? How long has it
taken to reach your new size of "18"? How did you achieve it? I would
personally love to hear more!

Congrats!! I remember how that was and it was AWESOME!! I still keep
those LARGER pants where I can look at them. I was a size 40 in. waist
and now I'm misses 14:) I'm wanting to be the 12 that I really enjoyed a
lot. I also just felt better! My legs didn't get as tired ETC!! THE
BIGGEST reason is to be a size twelve:) because I LOVE THAT SIZE!! Hey,
I'm close >>>> Look out size twelve HERE I COME!!!!!
I WILL DO THIS!!! YOU can too!!
glo
PS>>> I ate about half of my usual meal when I lost my weight.
Hi, Hopeful. Thanks for the interest.
On January 13th of this year I started at 268 and was actually below my
all-time high of 285. I've been dieting by (at first) just counting
calories, but switched to counting Weight Watchers point a month or so ago.
Now I also make sure I get the proper balance of fat/carbs/proteins and
enough calcium and fiber. Eating properly isn't easy!
So, its been 22 weeks and 4 days so far, I'm down to 206.5, and heading for
175. I'm tall at 6'3" so I'll never be called "petite" but I can be slender
again. I'm averaging about 2.7 pounds loss per week but the last seven days
I've lost over 4 pounds! I think its because I increased my milk to three
servings a day.
I originally started dieting because I was a couch potato, felt old and
ugly, and didn't want to die soon. I'm almost 55 and I felt like I was much
older. Its a good thing I lost the weight I did because a doctor exam a
couple of weeks ago indicated I have diabetes. Thankfully I've got it under
control by losing the weight. Whew!
So now I feel much better, my feet aren't giving me much problem anymore,
and as an impetus to losing more weight and keeping it off for life: if I
gain it back I'll risk dying of complications from diabetes. I don't want
to do that. Nobody has to hit me with a brick to get my attention.

Your story is inspiring Dewolla. I'm only 3 years older than you so I
can identify. Although I can still lose weight consistently when I
stick to my WOE, I find I don't lose at anything like the rate you
have - I can't usually manage more than about 7 lbs a month after the
initial water loss. I'm impressed!

Janice, for some reason I've always been able to lose weight fast. As a
matter of fact, I've lost 2.1 pounds since yesterday! I guess doing all
that yard work yesterday really helped. I had to move a big pile of mulch
from the driveway to the side yard. I guess my inborn tendencies of being
cheap and also a perfectionist helps, too. I feel if I slip up on my diet
I'll have marred and wasted all my good effort so far. I also like to keep
track of things and know just what is what. I know, its an illness! I
guess its a good thing I'm an analyst by profession.
To show you how bad I've got it, while I was shoveling and moving the mulch
I was counting and calculating. Let's see. Each cart full takes me 20
shovel-loads to fill, I've filled 24 cartloads total, a cartload is 6 cubic
feet, there are 27 cubic feet in a cubic yard, so I moved almost three yards
of mulch and it took me 720 shovel-loads.
Imagine what I can do with keeping track of my diet!
