Hi Everyone,
I just got thru my second week since joining the gym. I have really
been loving the routine of it. It has been a great stress reducer, and I
have been sleeping a great deal better since beginning. My energy level has
been really increasing, and I am just starting to notice some very small
changes with my body (like some "butt dimples" beginning to reduce, hehehe).
It is amazing how quickly the changes begin (no matter how subtle they seem
at first)! It will be really great once the scale begins to show the
results more. I have been going 5 days per week so far with 3 days cardio,
resistance training, and pool laps, and 5 days of cardio and pool laps.
Hopefully, next week will produce some "scale" changes.

Hey, that sounds really good. Do keep us updated on how it goes - I'm
interested.

I usually see the scale come to a stand still when I up my exercise. Have
you taken any measurements so you can compare them along the way? I often
see a change in those when the scale won't budge.

I haven't taken actual measurments, but am monitoring how clothes fit. I
can also see some small changes occuring in the mirror. I will have to get
a measuring tape, however. It does seem to be a good idea to watch the
overall measurments. Thanks for the idea! For some reason, I hadn't
thought of it...

Also, when you're finished losing weight you'll be able to compare the
numbers and say "wow!" I lost several more inches during my first year
of maintenence without losing any more pounds.
It's all interesting.

I also keep track of my measurements instead. I've said this before, but in
one month of medium paced biking I dropped a jean size, but only lost 2
pounds. If I didn't keep track of the inches, that 2 pound loss would have
been pretty delfating LOL.
