From Week 12 to 18 my weekly weight losses were:

0.8 lbs, 2.3, 2.8, 1.6, 1.9, 0.3?, 0.3?

The last two aren't a tragedy since for the entire month of June I was
on vacation, away from my digital scale, exercising a lot and eating
out often with old friends.

My last pre-vacation weight was approx. 199.0, and I was rather
fearful that coming back I would be well over 200 again, but was
pleasantly surprised to see 197.0 come up yesterday on my first
morning weigh-in back.

I held to healthy eating pretty well, but not perfectly, over the
vacation. Snacking occasionally on potato chips etc. is not a crime
but I apparently will need to watch out for that when I go back on
maintenance.

The secret to my not gaining was undoubtedly the massive 60 and 70
mile bicycle excursions I did riding up and down the PCH and all
around Maui -- ~34hrs of exercise over two weeks. All this bike riding
over the past 2 months has really paid off -- I'm in just as good
biking shape now as I was back in 1999 (when I would often ride the 6
miles to work & back), if not better.

I'm back on the regimen now; funny thing is that Men's Health has a
'cut your abs' diet plan cover story, and I'm all over it already
(dairy, almonds, vegetables, protein, not calorie counting, etc).

Even though I took 2 weeks off, I'm still shooting for my goal of 182
by the end of July... 32 down, 15 to go!

Congratulations!  It's great to return from a vacation and not have to deal
with a weight gain.

I'm sooooo jealous of your bike riding around Maui.

I saved $$$ by not renting a car...

I'd driven around Maui before so I knew the best road riding was right
near where I was staying, along the N Coast of the W Maui Mountains.

It was VERY motivating to have this vacation in front of me since late
April...

I really wish everyone could eg. just put the out-of-pocket money for
gastric bypass surgery into something fun like this instead. Outside
of the bypassed portion of small intestine, a bypass isn't going to
solve anything that real commitment can't also.

How very true - I couldn't agree with you more.
