Hello
I've been reading this newsgroup for a pretty long time and I must say that
it's one of the most friendly ones I've ever come across:) My name is
Catherine and I'm from Poland (I'm sorry for any mistakes :) ) I don't
consider myself obese (my bmi is 23) however I have put on some weight
during last year and I don't feel too well with some 10 excessive pounds (I
used to weigh 123 pounds, now it's 134 and I'm 5'3'' tall). I'm 19 years old
and right now I'm preparing for my entrance exams for medicine and
biotechnology(wish me luck:)) so I don't consider it the best time for a
strict diet. However, as the last exam is on the 2nd of July so I set the
start of dieting on 5th of July (those three days are just for a little
rest:)) I love swimming so I want to swim every day for at least 30 minutes
(by the way, how many calories will I burn if I swim 1025 meters in 30
minutes - the calculators I've found don't take under consideration the
speed, only the time)
And now I don't know what to do about my diet? Will simple cutting down on
calorie intake do the trick? Or should I eliminate some foods? I know that
10 pounds is not much and the less to lose the harder it is to lose it, but
I would really like to look as slim as I used to:) So...I count on your help
:)
With best wishes
Catherine

Eating less and exercising more would be the way to go for you!
