I am considering using the Trim Spa supplements. In particular, the X32
and the Fat Blocker. Has anyone had any experience, good or bad, with this?

Supplements won't make you healthy.  Look at the label: if they say use with
exercise and reduced calorie plan, then save your money, exercise, and
develop a healthy way of eating.  If they don't, they are probably in
violation of FTC advertising rules because there is no clinical study
showing that drugs work as good as diet and exercise at getting weight off
and keeping it off.

Trim Spa has Hoodia which curbs the appetite as well as Citrate Naringanine
which increases metabolism (has been compared in effectiveness to ephedra,
without any negative side effects).  I would say that those two ingredients
would give someone a "leg up" on a weight loss program.  I would try it
myself except that it is far too expensive.  I don't see anything wrong with
someone looking for a little help to start a weight loss program.  Once they
see some results and get excited about the possibilities, it will be easier
to maintain.

I think that someone in alt.support.diet.low-carb mentioned taking
hoodia. It suppressed his or her appetite for a few days, and stopped
working.

Like I said, if there was a magic pill, I would gladly take it, but
there is none.

I agree; when it's an aid, not a replacement, to a healthier WOL.

One of my close friends just bought some last weekend -- I'll be
interested in how well it works for her. I tend to shy away from
suppliments and the like because I'm already taking prescription
medications and don't want to risk side effects...

>>Trim Spa has Hoodia which curbs the appetite<<

there are two suits against trimspa which allege the supplement does
NOT contain Hoodia as the manufacturer claims:

As always, YMMV.

I have not used them personally but I have heard very good things about
them.  Kinda pricey for me thought.  I believe they carry the regular Trim
Spa at Walmart for about $17 for a bottle of 30.

Let us know how they worked for you.

From Trimspa's website:

"CONSULT A PHYSICIAN BEFORE USING THIS OR ANY WEIGHT LOSS PRODUCT."

and

"PRIOR TO USING THIS PRODUCT, ALONE OR COMBINED WITH OTHER
SUPPLEMENTS, NUTRIENTS, OR MEDICATIONS, CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN."

so, what does your doc say about your using Trimspa?

As always, YMMV.
