I've always thought that sitting behind a desk all day is unhealthy.
Here's an article:

"Imagine sitting in the same position all day with just the occasional
break for a quick bite or to run to the bathroom. No, we're not
talking about life in prison. It's just an average day at the office
for most of us. Working on a computer for hours taxes your body and
your mind; and factors such as lighting, noise levels and even the
feel of your chair all come into play.

The worst of it is, those eight hours of sedentary existence, day
after day, week after week, can contribute to significant gains on the
scale."

what I found is that a food-break becomes a reward, a reason to get
out of the office for a bit.

In Japan, I'd often work 10 -> 9, and I'd take a lunch break, a 2nd
lunch break, a dinner break, a late night snack break, plus stop by
the am/pm on the way home...

I can tell you Japanese convenience stores are e-v-i-l if you are a
grazer. Plus they make coffee-milk products to die form, and the
awesome confections and chocolatey snack foods (like macadamia choco)
to accompany it.

Vending machines back here in the states serve a similar thing, but
nothing can beat the selection of your average Japanese am/pm or
Lawson convenience store. They had my number.
