Last month made it a year that I've lost and kept off the first 100 lbs of
my total loss. I only realized it a few days ago when signing up for a 5K
that I ran last summer. Regardless of the problems I've had with my stupid
eating disorder and the medical crap I went through, I was finally able to
feel some pride at keeping off that first 100 lbs (and more) for a year now.
Thanks to those of you in this group who have been able to offer support and
advice without taunting, pontificating, or snarky comments. It's really
been a big part of the whole process.

Hooray for you Jenn - you really should feel proud at having kept so
much off. To me, that's probably more of an achievement than losing
it in the first place, which in itself is a huge achievement.

Congratulations, Jenn! And I'm glad to see you're going to be doing
the 5K. I wasn't sure you were able to keep up your running, what
with the other problems you've been facing.

Thanks Chris and everyone else who responsded!
Honestly I haven't kept up with my running - I switched to biking and
elliptical instead because it's been easier on my legs. I went out running
this week for the first time in about 6 weeks and found I can still clip out
a 5K, but my quads were really sore - not my knees. This particular race is
for charity and a lot of my friends participate so I've been getting a lot
of prodding to do it and I figure it won't kill me :)
