Wow - just had to share.  Stepped on the scale this morning at 199.7, I'm no
longer overweight!!!   Yay!!!  Can't rest, though, now I'm transitioning
into my Phase 2 to get down to the midpoint of my healthy range.  So its new
resolve, new effort, 24.7 pounds to my new goal.

If you see me today you'll recognize me, I'll be the one with the huge
grin!!

Dewolla, do you feel any better now, physically?

Congratulations!

Try going a little bit slower now...

First, I apologize for the multiple posts - my Outlook Express was fouling
up today.  Thought nothing got sent!

Yes, I do feel better physically.  Although I have more aches and pains at
night, I really think its because I have bonier knees and elbows resting on
my body and don't have the padding like before!

I have a similar problem, sitting on hard surfaces is not
comfortable...

My husband, my kid, and I were having a (very minor) conflict last night...and
I strode into the bathroom and closed the door behind me, then sat on our
recently tiled bathroom floor, leaning up against the door. I claimed to them
(jokingly) I wasn't coming out; I was going to sit there on the floor forever!

My husband just laughed and said, "You can't. You don't have enough padding
anymore."

I immediately had to agree with him, pointing out that my butt already hurt
from sitting on the hard tile. With that, I got up and popped right out of the
bathroom to go talk with my family. :)

WTG!!  You certainly didn't waste anytime getting to this goal.

Thanks, Beverly.  No, I didn't waste any time.  It was like I am driven.
Funny thing, now I feel I can slow down a bit.  I'll still stay on the
course (I want to get down to 175 by my birthday in October) but I'm 3.5
weeks ahead of schedule so I have a little breathing room.  I just don't
want to go over 200 again!!!

not going over 200 would be very helpful in controlling your
diabetes...

i
Dewolla Stepon - 02 Jul 2004 16:12 GMT
Very true.  I'm hoping that 25 more pounds off will control it even more.
That, along with controlling carbs and all the other dietary things I'm
doing.

yep, you are on the right track (in my uneducated opinion), the key is
to stick to it for years!
