Weigh-in yesterday

I went in for my first full physical in years yesterday. When I decided to lose
a little weight a little over a week ago, I was at 115 pounds first thing in
the morning in my birthday suit. Last night at the doctor's, at the end of the
day, fully dressed except for shoes, I weighed exactly 115.0 pounds. I am
pleased with that.

This morning, at my usual weighing time and in my usual weighing manner, I came
in at 111.5 pounds. That's a loss of 3.5 pounds in a little over a week. Even
taking the "water weight" into consideration, I feel like I'm doing okay.

I tried on my favorite Ralph Lauren jeans, in 6P, yesterday, and they were too
tight! There's some motivation right there...to get back to a weight of 106 to
108 pounds so I can wear my favorite jeans again. ;)

I hope you are all doing well. Thanks for the support here in ASD.

good job beeswing. A solid loss!

Something similar happened to me. I gained one pound, going to 174
moving average weight, instead of gettign to 171 as planned. I freaked
out and decided to go on a fitday logged diet of 1800 calories per
day. Not too radical, as you could see. (note that since I was
eyeballing all portions, the calorie count could be very imprecise)

The result was dramatic, I lost 5 pounds in one week, going from 174
to 169 in one weighting. I got scared of that and started to eat
a bit more, and now my moving average is 172, which is fine with me.

The lesson for me? Some of it is water.

Thanks so much for the encouragement, Ig. It really means a lot, 'specially
knowing that you, too, are doing the maintenance drill right now.

From what I could see of me, a pound and half was easily water. The rest I had
to work for. ;)

Good job beeswing, you are doing better than most dieters, who regain
weight after a loss...

Thanks, Ig. I'm really trying to keep a lid on it. I feel *so much better* at a
lower weight, and I want to go on feeling that way. And I even feel better now,
having lost just a few pounds back.

I'm 5 ft 3 in...between 106 and 108 lb is/was perfect for me. I maintained at
that level for about a year and half and have just recently seen a bit of the
weight come back. So I'm nipping it in the bud. :)

Thanks for writing.
