Somewhat to my surprise, I still weighed 144 at the gym today, despite
somewhat excess eating and lack of exercise this past week. I expect
it's partly due to stress, and actually my average calories for the
week weren't too much over my target.
But since I'm not going up in weight at all with my current target of
1300 calories per day, I'm going to up it to 1350.

Good for you Chris. And enjoy those extra 50 calories - you deserve
them:)

Good work :)
Also, I didn't get to respond to your thread when you returned from
being with your mom. Hang in there Chris and you're family is in my
prayers. My mom is 58 and was dx with CML(leukemia) 4 years ago, she and
I spend ALOT of time in hospitals and with dr's appointments. It does
wear on you. Just remember that you can't take care of anyone else until
you take care of YOU first. All those well meaning folks that say things
like "if you need anything, call us" Well, CALL THEM. That's one thing I
have had a hard time with at first but have learned to overcome. You're
no good to your mom, brother or your own family if your worn down and
outta whack.
