Artificial Sweeteners May Promote Obesity

There was brief item on the radio news that an article in the
International Journal of Obesity cites a study showing use of
artificial sweeteners promotes obesity.

Perhaps Barbara Hirsch can give more details as I don't subscribe.

Mice (or rats) allowed to eat freely after eating artifical sweetners ate
more calories then mice that were allowed to eat freely after eating sugar
(something like 3 times the amount).
