Hi.  I have a terrible time with night-time and Evening snacking/eating.

I can eat sensible meals all day -- eat a filling and satisfying supper. and
yet I can turn right around after supper and even though I'm full I can [and
do] sometimes snack till bedtime.

Any suggestions on how to break this cycle would be appreciated.

We just had someone post this question a few days ago, try to look up
responses in google.

I had the same problem, even used to wake up at night to snack. Got
rid of it completely by stopping any night time snacking cold
turkey. Became easy after a while. It has been 10 months and I am
still not eating after dinner.

Hunger can be helped by allocating more calories and fats for the
supper.

I read somewhere that night time hunger could be a sign of unstable
blood sugars. Are you familiar with this issue?

Good luck, you are not the first person with this problem and there
surely are working solutions.

Get the tempting foods out of your house.
Stay out of the kitchen.
Drink more water, then
Drink more water.
Eat fruit.
Go to bed earlier.
Drink more water.

And, find other things to do. (Make sure those activities are out of
the kitchen. Perhaps an evening walk, a hobby, whatever.

All the suggestions so far seem good, you'll have to find out what
works for you.

If you feel full and not hungry, it's as likely as not you are
snacking out of boredom and/or habit... in which case, finding
something else to busy yourself with might help.
