Let's say... Who here lost weight from obesity or serious overweight,
and kept at normal weight for longest? Patricia maybe?

Barbara Hirsch is past her five year mark in maintenance.

Patricia's even at goal? I thought she was just an annoying little
twit in her pushing low fat diets and trying to ignorantly bash low
carb at every chance she can get.

I think that she is at goal, and has been for a while. I also
disagree with her lowfat ideas though.

jay jay, you've been around here as long as me, and I remember
Patricia when she used to post as "Patty" . AFAIR she had a big
weight loss, and also survived a serious illness. In those days, she
made a real contribution to the group but it's hard to relate that to
how she posts now.
Patricia, if you read this, do reintroduce yourself - I want to be
sure I'm not mis-remembering you from way back. If you tell your
story here people may relate better to what you are saying now.

I took off OVER 100 LBS over 25 years ago but than put on about 25 LBS:(
I guess I'm just not a hero here. I know have a few to take off but I'm
staying in this battle !!

I would say that you are a hero if you kept a 75 lbs lost over 25
years.

i , thank you:) I was blown over by your response but a nice compliment
is a real upper . I struggle EVERYDAY with my WOL/WOE as MOST of us here
do. I saved a pair of pants from when I was at my largest and they have
a 40 inch waist. I wore a size 24 & 1/2 woman dress and pants but now
I'm one size away from my smallest size which is a 14 misses pant and
12 dress. Since coming here I now don't weigh myself very often but
rather I go by sizes which took me a LONG HARD TIME:) I hope that many
here will respond to this thread! It is good to see how well so many
have done . Carol & Jay Jay are only two who are very successful. Amy is
also:)

Barbara Hirsch is very successful and I'm sure there are others around
who don't post on a regular basis, like Jamie.

How long do you have to be successful to be considered "very successful"? I'd
have to think hard on how long I've been on maintenance, but I do know offhand
that it's been somewhat over a year and a half now.

I was not the person who suggested that Barbara Hirsch was
"successful" (even though I agree that she is successful), but I must
say:
The longer you keep weight off, the more successful you are!
It's that simple.
i
who kept weight off for 10 months

The poster I was responding to was naming off a person or so as "very
successful" whom I believe had endered maintenance after I did. I wasn't
looking for philolopsy, only the definition of the criteria said poster was
using.
So it was far more simple than "that simple." ;)

Are you talking about Barbara? I thought that she entered maintenance
a long time ago.
i
who is "less successful" than you or Barbara but is loving every
moment of being at normal weight.
