It's a viscious cycle, actually. Once you start in with the huge bagels for breakfast, you're on the sugar spiking, fat storing, insulin rollercoaster. The fat then releases certain hormones which increase insulin resistance, which only exacerbates the over eating & fat storage. Best to avoid it all together by eating a moderate glycemic load diet.
