Food & Exercise -- 7/16/2004

Food:

8:30 (home); 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese

11:00 (driving to gym): energy bar

2:00 (Indian buffet): about 1 oz. each of tandoori chicken & butter
chicken; 2 oz. broiled whitefish; spoonful each of saag, vegetable
curry, lentils; a couple of spoonfuls of white rice; 1/4 cup lettuce
w/ yogurt dressing

6:30 (home): 228g f/f Greek yogurt

9:15 (home): grilled sandwich w/ 1 slice whole wheat bread, 1 slices
f/f cheese, 60g ham

Totals: 1349 calories, 42g fat (28%), 121g carbs (36%), 119g protein
(35%)

12:00 -- Exercise: cardio + back & arms (Tom was away -- worked out w/
DH)

Cardio program week 9, threshold day: 16 minutes treadmill run -- 3
minutes at 4.5 mph, 10 minutes at 5.5 mph, 3 minutes at 4.5 mph

Pull-up hang and negatives: 1x3

Weight-stack assisted pull-ups: 1x10x50; 1x4x30; 1x1x20

Lat pulldowns: 1x8x90; 1x5x100

Machine rows: 1x8x70; 1x10x60

Standing DB biceps curls: 1x8x20s

Triceps pressdowns: 1x12x4 plates

Food:

Breakfast (around 10 pm): 1 kiwi fruit, sliced with a few drops of liquid
artificial sweetener; 45 minutes later, scrambled eggs

Lunch: (around 3 pm): peas in red sauce with a small slice of Parmesan
cheese
(stir-fried peas in the wok with olive oil, 1/2 onion, 3 Tbs tomato sauce, 2
Tbs cooking cream, Tamari soy sauce, paprika and Tabasco)

Dinner (around 11 pm!): spinach and salami salad
(steamed spinach with pieces of Hungarian salami, no spices, no dressing)

about 1,5 litres of water, 1 vitamin C drink, Prenatal vitamin

Exercise: none :-( (apart from playing with a very eager-to-stand-and-walk 9
month old ;-)

According to www.fitday.com, 67 grams of carbs altogether (not bad for
starting over).

You know, Elly, I just realized it was you that got me started posting
my food and exercise daily!  I've been doing it for about a year and a
half, and I really think it has made a big difference for me.  Knowing
I "had to" post what I did here has kept me motivated to not stray too
far from my intended path.

It sounds like you ate well yesterday!
