I had wondered what victims of bypass surgery are eating.  They do lose a
lot of weight.  What I have found is a nightmare.

See the diet at link:
http://www.endowsec.com/pated/edtgs22.htm

I gather after WLS they eat about 1100 calories per day and are *UNABLE* to
eat fats.

My post was on-topic for all three groups.  After a bypass nutrition is a
problem.  Bypass is considered by people on diets.

Am I an "idiot" or are you just rude and judgmental?

Your post was on topic and very interesting. If crossposting was
illegal, per se, it would not be allowed by usenet software.

You said it was a nightmare. Which is it? A nightmare or a problem?

Bypass is considered by people on diets.

You said they were victims and now you say an active consideration on behalf
of those with weight problems.

> Am I an "idiot" or are you just rude and judgmental?

You are a judgemental idiot who can't or doesn't know how to write non
judgementally in expressing your views without using terms like nightmare
and victims.
In short your views are worthless. That type of hyperbole adds nothing.

You must not read much.... here is what your referenced page has to say
about fat, protein and carbs for these bariatric surgery patients in
their long term diet.
..........................................

This Sample Diet Provides the Following

Calories.......1011
Fat............37 gm
Protein........71 gm
Carbohydrates..97 gm

...........................................

FAT = approx 33 % of this sample caloric intake......
Protein = approx 28 %
Carbs =  approx 39 %

My comment was based on the part about fats causing "reflux."   The example
menu listed itself as 1011 calories.  I don't understand your objection.

My niece has had this surgery.

You should see her hand tremble as she lathers butter on a baked potato.
FAT, FAT, FAT -- she can eat fat!  She still likes the taste of it.

She doesn't get "reflux".

And she has lost over 200 pounds.

You are misreading what you cite.

I am sure that *some* such folks have a problem eating fats but your
evident claim that bariatric surgery patients can't eat fats is really
off the mark.

You made an invalid conclusion ...

My friend had the GB surgery when she hit 300 pounds. She is cautious
about what she eats and how. She must sip liquid before eating and eat
slowly and small portions and usually selects a balanced meal but is
cautious about the type of carbs she includes.

She has maintained a suitable weight for over three years but it takes
a long time to share a meal with her.
