Maybe I can be of some help to those of you suffering from
hypoglycemia. If you are having mild or severe symptoms, I suggest a
strict therapeutic diet with a couple fast acting amino acids to get rid
of sugar cravings.
The sugar/starch in your diet is probably causing the symptoms just as
withdrawal from the sugar/starch foods will cause. That is why taking
these aminos are necessary because they get rid of the cravings that
may be starting the problem in the first place. Then you will happily
be able to adhere to an eating program without huge effort.
The only discipline you'll need is to take the aminos on time each day
(just like medication). Going 'cold turkey' is not suggested. If a
person just follows a diet without the aminos, they may go through
severe withdrawal symptoms because of having to give up caffeine,
sugars, refined sugars, alcohol, tobacco.
Other causes of hypoglycemia are caffeine, food allergies, candiadias,
hormonal problems, depression. If hypoglycemia is not managed,
eventually it could go into insulin resistance or diabetes.
I very experienced in dealing with hypoglycemia, as I've personally
had and conquered it myself. I hope I've been of some help.
Blessings,
Sherry
