Food & Exercise -- 7/21/2004

Food:

8:30 (home): 30g More & Less cereal, 14g All Bran, 22g whey protein, 1
cup skim milk

12:00 (work -- brought salmon & salad dressing from home): salad w/
113g grilled salmon, 1 cup mixed greens, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1
had-boiled egg, an ounce or so each of mushrooms, carrots, broccoli,
tomato, 2 tbsp f/f balsamic vinaigrette

3:00 (work -- brought from home): 1 cup f/f Greek yogurt

5:15 (massage studio): 1 bite-sized Snickers candy

7:00 (driving home): apple

8:00 (home): 4 oz. ground turkey burger w/ 2 slices melted f/f Swiss
cheese on multigrain English muffin; 2 mint meringue cookies

10:30 (home): 40g air-popped popcorn

Totals: 1403 calories, 32g fat (20%), 165g carbs (47%), 132g protein
(38%)

Exercise:

12:30 -- 3 mile brisk walk

Food:
Breakfast: cottage cheese (1/2 cup) and Hungarian salami (50 gr)
Lunch: whole wheat bread (2 slices)*  with hot chilli sauce (1/2 teaspoon)
and
Emmentaler cheese (about 50 gr); cucumber
* I didn't plan this, but DD is teething and I just didn't find the time to
cook... So this is my #1 (out of 2 / per week) high carb day
Dinner: 2 fried eggs, pork liver pat?, tomato; peanuts

Tasting DD's apple-peach-baby cookie mix

Water = 2 l (1 l during the exercise); 1 l Cola light*
* I know I shouldn't drink the Cola and such, but I don't drink coffee and I
am *so* sleep deprived - DD woke us up at 5 am and wouldn't go back to sleep
until 10 am; I just hope this tooth will go out soon, she is really cranky..

Exercise: 40 minutes altogether:
Stationary bike = 20 minutes
Postpartum fitness routine, Day 3:
- bicep curls = 2 sets of 40
- tricep extensions = 2 sets of 25 w/each arm
- hammer curls = 2 sets of 20
- overhead tricep extension = 2 sets of 20
- lateral lifts = 1 set of 20
- front lifts = 1 set of 20 w/each arm
- rear deltoid lifts = 1 set of 20
- shoulder presses = 1 set of 20
Total = 20 minutes

I wanted to ride the bike for another 20 minutes, but DD was fussy...

According to FitDay = 49 grams of carbs (higher than recommended, but I was
very low yesterday), and 138 calories burned.
